The Burnley May Day Festival is held every year on the May Day bank holiday Monday. It has run every year since the bank holiday was established in 1978 and is held at Towneley Park. It is preceeded by a May Day parade that currently sets off from Burnley Town Hall although various other start points have been used over the years.

The event is organised by Burnley Trades Council's May Day committee.

Next year's event will be on Monday 3rd May 2010.

We would welcome more helpers on to the May Day committee. If you are interesting in helping us plan the event contact Peter or come to one of our meetings (see meetings page).
