The Burnley May Day Festival is held every year on the May Day bank holiday Monday. It has run every year since the bank holiday was established in 1978 and is held at Towneley Park. It is preceeded by a May Day parade that currently sets off from Burnley Town Hall although various other start points have been used over the years.

The event is organised by Burnley Trades Council's May Day committee.

Next year's event will be on Monday 4th May 2009.

2008 advertising rates for the brochure were as follows:

Full Page: £150; Half Page: £75; Quarter Page: £40 and Eighth Page: £20

Stall Hire, both in the marquee or on the field is £7.50 for charities and Trade Unions; £15 for others. Chairs for stalls in the marquee, 75p each. For larger areas on the field contact Peter Thorne.
